In this article we give you six Ayurvedic techniques of self-healing that will take you not more than 10 minutes every day.
Practicing them continually will give you better physical, mental and spiritual health.
According to this ancient healing method, in order to keep your health, you have to achieve a complete harmony of the body, soul and mind.
Ayurveda is the oldest holistic healing system that’s being used, even now, in the modern ages.
What’s even more interesting is that people in India give advantage to ayurvedic treatment over conventional medicine, and they study ayurveda in schools and universities.
Moreover, the World Health Organization, at its congress in Alma Ati in 1977, officially recognized ayurveda and recommended its practice and popularization .
As long as the body, the soul and the mind function in harmony, a person will stay healthy – that’s the core ayurvedic philosophy and the ancient Indian healing method that originated from it.
Everything in the universe is energy permeated and interconnected, says ayurveda.
The three dosha (some kind of bioregulators) that keep the body alive and running are ‘pitta’, ‘kapha’ and ‘vata’. Vatta regulates breathing, kapha maintains the strength and pitta controls the metabolism.
If they’re aligned with each other, we feel great.
Proper nutrition, massage, yoga and meditation improve our self-healing abilities.
Daily ancient self-healing treatment in just 10 minutes
In the morning- 6 minutes
Tongue cleaning – 30 seconds
After brushing your teeth, remove any residual plaque from the tongue using a brush, a tongue cleaner or a blunt knife. The liver, gallbladder and kidneys are the organs that help our body to get rid of harmful substances.
As a byproduct of certain metabolic processes, sediments and toxins are created on the tongue. If we don’t remove them, after some time, they start blocking the flow of energy in the body.
Use the power of sesame oil – 2 minutes
After brushing your teeth and tongue, rinse your mouth for two minutes with a spoon of sesame oil, spit it out and rinse it with warmer water.
Sesame oil prevents from creating dental plaque, tooth decay and gingivitis; it’s rich in linoleic acid and acts against fungi, bacteria and viruses.
Self-massage – 3 minutes
For the massage you’ll need gloves, raw silk or soft brush. Massage every part of your body for 10-20 times, in this order: neck, back, as far as you can reach, then rub your shoulders, hands and fingers with circular motions.
Massage gently the upper chest are using horizontal movement. Then move to the stomach, and massage it from top to bottom, and from left to right.
The next ones are the thighs. Rub them outside in, and from above downwards. next, move on to the knees and feet massaging them with circular motion.
Massage improves circulation and restores energy. Each segment of the skin is associated with an internal organ, and all of them work much better and have an increased blood flow after the massage, claim ayurvedic practitioners.
During The Day – 2 minutes:
Drink hot water – 30 seconds
Boil half a liter of water for 10-15 minutes, pour it into a thermos and take three seeps ever half an hour. Thanks to its special energetic characteristics, boiled water stimulates digestion and helps in flushing toxins out of the body.
Practice relaxing breathing – 2 minutes
Take a deep breath through your nose, hold it for a few seconds, then exhale through the nose. Do not think about anything; If you find it difficult to switch off, think of something nice, beach, wind … problems, anger and fear often lead to disease of the organs.
Relaxation helps you and your organs, as well. This way, we stimulate our brain to produce endorphins (hormones of happiness), that make us happy. However, this will take a little bit of practice.
In The Evening – 2 minutes:
Stimulate you digestion and improve dream quality – 2 minutes
Heat a little bit of sesame oil. Massage a few drops onto your stomach, and then, using the whole palm, keep massaging your stomach with gentle circular clockwise motions.
Then soak a towel in warm water and keep it on the stomach until it goes cold. Finally wipe the stomach. This gentle massage helps digestion by stimulating contraction of the intestines., thus solves the problem with insomnia that occurs as a result of poor digestion.
So simple, yet so powerful. Why don’t you start tomorrow?
