Bernhard von Lippe the grandfather of

The stadholder’s letter is an alleged
letter written by prince Bernhard on 24 April 1942 to the German leader
Adolf Hitler. In that letter, he would have made a proposal to Hitler in
which Bernhard would have wanted to act as Stadholder (City Holder of
